Bloom

The realm is all exploded.

An erupting rainbow, a great cacophony of colour scattered across the land.

I took a walk along the river this morning while the sun was still climbing its way over the peak of the Mighty Mountain, and the flowers were so abundant and so bright that for a moment they took the very breath from me.

We call this time of year Bloom. It is when all the meadows and riverbanks, all the narrow lanes, become a vast sea of wildflowers and all of the flower faeries come a-calling through the Door to FaeryRealm, visiting with old friends and loved ones and dancing away the days in a magical celebration.

Elves from all across ElvenRealm bake cakes and pastries, press flowers and berries into sparkling juice, weave flowers through their hair and sing of all that we are blessed with, while Queen Summer fills the sky and all of us together with sunshine.

Now, as evening draws in, I'm sitting in the garden of Buttercup Cottage with my elflings playing quietly at my feet, watching the chickens scratch their way past us on their way home for the night. My own small patch of wildflowers nods quietly as they close their petals tight until tomorrow. I can hear the celebrations continuing down the lane and I feel such peace.

I wish you peace, also, dear friends.

I wish you peace always.

Love, Miss Evelyn x
