Supper with Lila

We had a surprise visitor this evening, and what a delightful surprise, indeed! Lila the Lavender Elf came a-calling with gifts for the elflings and for me: lavender soaps and candles of rolled beeswax.

 Lila has been working hard all day in the Dewfeather's lavender field, helping Adam and Merribelle harvest the lavender flowers for market. She smelled so strongly of their perfume that the whole cottage is still scented lavender hours after she left.

 I was just taking a blueberry pie from the oven when Lila arrived so she joined us for supper and regaled the elflings with tales about her honeybees and their charming adventures in ElvenRealm.

 I'll tell you some of them too, when I have the chance. The life of a honeybee is often filled with great adventure, you know.
